Vandenberg Air Force Base (VAFB), through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, awarded DRC a design/build contract to develop a groundwater supply to irrigate the Vandenberg Golf Course. As the prime consultant, DRC identified and delivered a fully functioning and efficient system. The work included exploring, analyzing, and assessing the environmental impacts on the community and on withdrawing water from the groundwater system, searching for sources of water in the site’s proximity that would be cost-effective, designing the well(s) and appurtenances, pipelines, and the system’s construction that included the pumping control, delivery and reservoir system.
